When I create an Event, who can see it?
Events become immediately visbile to all users the moment they are created. You can see your Event and others at the Upcoming Events page.
How do I register players for my Event?
Once the Event has been created, players may navigate to your Event page and register themselves by clicking the "Register Now" button. This requires they have a HCUnits.net account and are signed in.
Players may also be registerd manually by Event organizers in the Event Players page. As an organizer, you can add existing users by searching for them by username or real name.
Event organizers may also add Guest users by entering a guest name. If you have recurring players, we recommend you encourage them to create a HCUnits.net account and self-register as this allows their results to be tracked across Events.
Can I restrict players from self-registering?
Yes! Simply set "Allow Player Self-Registration" to Off. Once , players may only be added to the event manually, by the organizers.
Is there a way to save settings for commonly run Event types?
Yes - you can use Event Templates! Once you've created an Event that you want to re-use, click the "Add To Templates" button.
When you create your next Event, you'll see a button "Load From Template", that will drop-down to a list of Template Events from which you can copy the details. Selecting one will pre-populate the fields in Event creation form, allowing you to modify any that you wish before creating the new Event.
