New Card Format

We first started building the site back in December and were getting ready for a launch when WizKids threw us a curve-ball and decided to update their card format! Well, as of now, we have officially caught up! That's right - HCUnits.net will now render cards in a style very similar to the format that debuted with the Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing set!

We know the new format has been quite controversial within the community, but there are a lot of things we like about it. First, almost all the info is on the front of the card, so that we had to make fewer tweaks from the "official" version. Second, there's much better use of space, which has allowed us to increase the font size a bit and generally make the card more readable. One quick note: the new format only works for normal characters. We're still working on getting objects, bystanders, and large-dial units updated, but wanted to let you try it out and give us feedback.

We want to give a huge kudos to André Salgado who did the amazing background card artwork! Without it, the cards wouldn't look nearly as similar to the real thing!
